About the Book

Under threat by a Mafia boss, a young lawyer leaves his New York sanctuary in the middle of the Great Depression and heads for Montana to assist in his uncle’s practice. The transition proves to be a whole lot more than he bargained for when he arrives to find that his uncle died. His first order of business is to assist a vindictive and bitter old man with his will. Just before his last breath, the old man asked the lawyer to be the executer of the will. That single request will forever change his life as he sets out to deal with heirs that detest each other, a crooked banker, and barriers due to the Depression.

Filled with tension, humor, and stark scenes of the Depression, Legacy From Hell touches on a time in America’s history that not only teaches, but entertains. The characters, so carefully drawn from that era, will take you into a time and place where times were tough and so were the people that lived them.

About the Author

M. M. Lehman has written western novels, a contemporary adventure titled, "Up From the Ashes" and he contributed articles to Cowboy magazine and The Montana Journal. A true western gentleman, this ninety-year-old ex-bronco buster/novelist left home at 13 to begin the life of a cowboy.
