About the Book
True Love is a fictitious story that takes place in California, the Middle East and Vietnam from about the 1930's to 2000. The story touches on the life of several ethnic groups.
Holding the story together is the life of a young man who suddenly finds himself homeless. With good humor, he progresses through a foreign service career in the Middle East, violent sub rosa activities in Vietnam and on to a happy family life.
A significant event occurs when, as a youngster, he becomes fascinated with a painting of a farmer and his daughter. Later, he meets a Blodwin who he believes is the farmer's daughter, only this time he finds her to be beautiful. They endure a long separation that ends with a poignant reunion and they begin a happy and somewhat humorous life.
