About the Book

Barbara dreams of becoming an actress but feels she must stay on the family citrus farm to look after her young brother, Tommy, since their mother is dead. She finds a wonderful folk playwright on the farm while two very different men court her.

About the Author

During Jeanne Williams’ four years in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, she became intrigued with Mexican folklore and drama after watching Los Pastores at a ranch. She also worked with Volunteer Border Relief on both sides of the border.
