About the Book
Spherical Rainbows is a collection of poems written from the late 1960's through the late 1990's. They cover various frames of mind, moods, and attitudes. The topics cover the usual range of human beings going through life. Several poems grow out of my experience as a Black man in America and deal with which ensues from that reality. I have written about love, marriage, divorce, aging, various people I've encountered, some (I guess it might be called) landscape poetry, an attempt a sci-fi, one crime story in verse, academia, nature --- in short a wide spectrum of human experience and endeavor.
Some poems are sad, others happy, or confused or angry or hopeful or searching for meaning. In short, the usual human aspirations and experiences.
