About the Author
After graduation from Wellesley College, Louise O'Flaherty worked as a Navy cryptographer, breaking German submarine codes. After the war she and her husband, a native of southern California, came to live on the west coast. Inspired by that harsh golden land and its turbulent history, she has written eight novels set in and around the early days of Los Angeles.
