About the Book

Native of the South, Brittany's family and home are destroyed by the Civil War. The heroine travels to Fort Bowie, in Arizona Territory, to become governess of her cousin's children. After befriending an Apache child, captive of the settlers, she is thrown out of the community and goes with the child to live on Soapsude Row. Soon after she is captured by Apaches and carried off to the colonial silver mining town of Alamos, Mexico. There Brittany struggles with the lure of three men and the attraction of three worlds.

About the Author

A frontier post in Arizona, Apache settlements in the mountains, and a colonial hacienda near the town of Alamos, Arizona: Williams visited these sites and more to gather information for Woman of Three Worlds. Williams, a native of Kansas, presently lives in an adobe brick house 70 miles from the crumbling walls of historic Fort Bowie, Arizona.
