About the Book

John Colder is a truckdriver in his late forties traumatized by seeing the fiery deaths of his wife and youngest daughter in a tragic accident. Aurora allison is desperately trying to escape from a stalled doctoral thesis, an overbearing mother and a fiancé she thinks may well be the biggest mistake of her 27 years. When she impulsively takes part of her school tuition money and enrolls in a truck driving school, a chance encounter puts the two of them on converging paths. As they team together and travel back and forth across the country, both begin to see that two people can help each other, despite the differences of age, race and professional backgrounds. They also find they are't alone in needing help. A married country western star looks to them for help in rescuing her marriage. A 13-year-old ranch girl needs Aurora to help her have the life she craves. and a group of Iowa grain farmers need all the help the good Lord can muster to overcome the chicanery of a land grabbing, dirty dealing, corporate farm in their midst's. It all comes together, as friends help each other and whispered prayers find answers.

About the Author

The author is a former reporter/editor who left journalism to pursue writing fiction. Over the years he has been a Marine, salesman, headhunter and truckdriver. A graduate of West Texas State University, he lives in Columbus, Ohio with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
