About the Book

Louis Dargent dies on his ranch when a bear attacks his horse. Was the bullet wound self-inflicted, or did an unknown party shoot him? His young second wife becomes a suspect, but develops brain injury when she slips into a diabetic coma a week after Louis' death. The family doctor is suspected when reports circulate that he is spending too much time at the ranch. The Sheriff sifts through six suspects in Dargent's murder, but some of them also die. Is the real killer identified, or does an innocent person pay the price for the murders?
