About the Book

Vietnam vet Paul Gebler is back in the South China Sea. This time as an oil man, on the hunt for oil instead of men. But that soon changes. Up for the big bucks, he gets entangled in a maze of diplomatic intrigue over the Spratlys involving China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei, Taiwan, and the Philippines—for a start. Gebler is then thrust back into a dangerous underworld of midnight assassins that was his soldier’s life many years before. Afloat in a sea of deceit, it’s all Gebler can do to stay just ahead of the deadly game played by nations large and small that draws the United States into the flash point. As he clings to the fragile lifeline, he finds himself in too deep with a wealthy heiress, Lorel DeRoman, who might save his life—or end it.

About the Author

Brent Lee is a member of the AAPG (American Association of Petroleum Geologists). He travels the globe in pursuit of a PhD in International Studies. Gangs of Pitch is his first novel. He is working on his second, a thriller landscaping the seedy relief operations in Iraq.
