About the Author
After graduation from Wellesley College and then working as a wartime Navy cryptographer, Louise O'Flaherty traveled with her husband to southern California. Like her fictional family the Donovans, they stayed, determined to not live anywhere else. Inspired by the history of this harsh golden land, the author has written eight novels set in early Los Angeles.
