About the Book

Jan’s younger sister has worked at a Montana lodge near Yellowstone, but her body turns up on a California beach. Unable to believe what the lodge owners tell her, Jan applies for the job of taking care of the place during the winter. Did the man she comes to love kill Ann?

About the Author

A visit to Yellowstone and hearing about its winter inspired Jeanne Williams to write about animals browsing in the steam heat of the geysers. She saw picas on that trip and wanted to bring in the magic of hibernation.
