About the Author

Born in rural western Kansas, Williams is known for her accuracy and sense of time and space in her historical novels. She is a four-time recipient of the Golden Spur Award, winner of the Levi-Strauss Golden Saddleman Award for lifetime achievement in western literature, and former president of the Western Writers of America.
