About the Book
The Marriage Repair and Maintenance Manual is a self-help book for those who want to improve their marriages, avoid problems and fix those that have arisen. It is divided into two sections, basic principles and concepts, and a section of case studies with the author’s comments. The author uses humor and case illustrations as well as his own cartoons to get his points across.
About the Author
Harold Renshaw got his formal education from several colleges, including Immaculate Conception Seminary College and the University of Missouri. He earned a Master’s Degree from the latter. He taught elementary school, worked in welfare and child protective services in Iowa before he ventured into working with families and couples. He has been a therapist, a supervisor, an agency administrator and college teacher. Harold is happily married to a Betty and is grateful to her for her patient teaching even when she doesn’t know she’s doing it. He has written a book for workers in residential treatment facilities, Caring for Kids (Reasearch Associates, 1981), Precision Parenting (self-published, 1972), Taming Your Inner Jackass, a book on anger management (Great Unpublished, 2000.)
