Andy's Amazing Trips

About the Book

Andy Ant made the long trip from Calfornia to our fourth grade classroom in Ardmore, AL in a mailing tube. After being placed in the classroom ant farm, he decided to escape the confines of the ant farm to seek adventure. Numerous times he went over the top and hitched rides to various points of interest. He returned after each trip to share his adventures with his friends in the ant community.

About the Author

We became a class on August 4, 2001. Since then we have done many fun things. We have built a Knex Roller Coaster, and a Knex Big Ball Factory. We studied about ants and monarch butterflies. We had an ant farm and a fish aquarium. Mrs. Davis helped us improve our reading by encouraging us to read and write. We collected postcards from around the United States. We made Flat Stanleys and sent them around the world. We sent paper butterflies to Mexico, and we are hoping to get some back. We have pen pals in New York. This year has been great!
