The extremities of life succumb to a deep exploration of sex, love, separation, and death. Surrendering to intimacy and relationships serves as the band-aid to the wound that could not yield from bleeding. It is human nature for self-destruction to take hold of the world, nevertheless with it also follows the beginning of an age of paradisiacal happiness beyond belief. About the Author

Since Carla's previous book in 2000, Meditation in a Rubber Room, she has been traveling extensively in parts of the world soaking up cultural experiences. These experiences made this book possible. From the city to the sea and the desert to California, writing has always been her predilection and source of ventilation. This collection of poetry in particular was written during her travels in the past year. She can be found on the north shore of Oahu riding the wave, on the beach under the radiant sun or 13,000 feet above jumping off a plane. On more frigid seasons of the year, Carla can even been found on the Eurostar reading a good book in between her route from London to Paris. Although she is a Parisian at heart, she resides in the most over developed and over populated metropolis in the world, the tri state area. She is an English major and lives with a cat and turtle.
