About the Author

John C. Huber is Executive Director of the Institute for Invention and Innovation, which he founded in 1995. He has 30 years experience at 3M Company, widely regarded as a leader in innovation. At 3M, he was an inventor, laboratory manager, marketing manager, sales manager, and business unit manager. He played a major role in 29 innovative new product introductions, with a 79% success rate—substantially better than the average rate of about 20%.
