About the Author
Jefferson Lang initially intended to write a short story based on his experiences in a rehab hospital (where he attended a 30 day pain program). The working title was, “The Will To Walk.” Six weeks and 207 pages later Bootie Patrol was finished. Although the novel is one of fiction, it was inspired by the numerous stories he heard at Marionjoy, which is recognized as one of the finest rehab hospitals in the country.
