About the Book
This book tells the story of a young student teacher in Ms. Jackson's first-grade classroom. The stories flow with a creative and imaginative passion for children and the importance of their education. Compassion for children's voices as well as the author's own emotional struggle with the realities of life in the classroom, now seen from an outsider's perspective, make this collection of five works a powerful testament to the courage, enthusiasm, and idealism of youth.
