About the Author
Elsie Hotalen was born in 1924 near Booneville, Arkansas. She became a Registered Nurse and moved to Houston, Texas, in 1953. She worked full time until having her first child. She worked full time again from 1970 to 1997, until she was 73 years old. She is now retired and enjoys life and her family and still keeps a journal.
