About the Author

What a life! Dad was born in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1923. Elmwood was home until 1935 when the family moved to Burchard, Nebraska. The 6'4" right-hander pitched 3 of 4 games to make Burchard the Class ?C? State Champion in 1941, his senior year. A degree in music from the University of Nebraska began a career in broadcasting, entertainment, and selling.

Rosemarie and Russ (Mom & Dad) were married in 1947 and moved to Omaha the same year with plans to start a family. 59 years later their family has expanded to 7 sons, 1 daughter, 21 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

During all these years Dad enjoyed writing poetry and musical lyrics, and it has remained a special hobby for him that he truly loves.

Mom said, ?When people read this book, they will know our whole life history.? So it is! Mom and Dad, and our entire family, sincerely hope you will enjoy Rhyme & Reason!
