About the Book
M IS FOR MOVE is a unique phonics book. It is an alphabet book with five letters-only the vowels-missing; all 21 consonants and their sounds are introduced. It is hard to find another all-consonant book, and what fun it is! Each letter is paired to a simple movement, acted out by a child and presented in stunning black and white photos.
About the Author
Vicky Shiefman has taught children from over 50 countries in the New York City Public Schools to read. She emphasizes phonics and a large classroom library. Her B.A. is in linguistics from the University of Chicago. She currently serves as Society of Children?s Book Writers & Illustrators Metro New York Chapter?s Regional Advisor and has published three other children?s books.
