About the Author

Tom Murphy was born on Buffalo?s West Side in 1932. He attended Holy Angels and Our Lady of Lourdes elementary schools, St. Joseph?s Collegiate Institute and St. Bonaventure Univ. He married Barbara Moore in 1952 and they spent the next forty-two years enjoying each other, their eight children, and life in Buffalo NY.

Murphy served in administrative capacities in the offices of three Buffalo mayors?Sedita, Makowski and Griffin?until his retirement from public service in 1992.
