About the Book

A Continuing Quest is poetry that will speak to your heart. The first section, "Images of the Natural World", describes encounters with the world of nature, from the woodlands and seashores of western Washington State to the southwestern desert and the countryside of rural Georgia. It contains images of the woods surrounding the author's home: "From the hill, with the spring rain falling, I hear the creek cascading below me over the rocks." and the creatures that inhabit those woods: "Lazily rising from the creek at my approach, the blue heron flapped its wings and flew upstream."

"Memories of Family and Friends" recalls parents and grandparents, children and grandchildren, friends, and beloved pets.

The narrative poems in "The Telling of Stories" are largely from the author's experiences and observations, although some are purely imaginative. Several hark back to her early girlhood in a sawmill town in western Washington.

"Reflections of Faith" tells of her spiritual journey through life, as she attempted to formulate a philosophy, find a faith and discover truth.
