About the Book

Harlem residents develop a block association to deflect unwholesome activity in their neighborhood. Their diverse backgrounds, blurred sense of loyalties and precarious friendships magnify problems brought upon them from within and without.

Through humor they survive an erosion of their values, exposure of family secrets and deadly street violence.

About the Author

From extensive travel and varied experiences in education, health and professional theatre Irene Senior-Pomeroy derives her narration style. She holds advanced degrees from Columbia University in New York City and is an intense storyteller, essayist, poet and artist.

The author resides in Reno, Nevada. From here she continues to write and perform with an accomplished composer/pianist, Phyllis Peacock, who provides musical background for her storytelling and poetry readings. She is a 2005-2007 nominee for Poet Laureate for the State of Nevada.
