The receptionist acknowledged her and motioned toward the plush couch. She sat down, and a couple of minutes later, Albert came out.
"Cherri. What a pleasant surprise. Come into my office," he said, with the grin of a spider.
Cherri stood up and walked in to the office. "How have you been?"
"Fine, fine. Been putting together a new real estate deal. Last month, I got some investors to back my idea for turning some Florida swamp land into a gated community and premier golfing resort. Should be a big money maker. Sit down, sit down."
Cherri took a deep breath and let it out slow. She could have shot him right there, but this was no time to tip her hand. She sat down and smiled. "Albert, I was thinking about you yesterday, and was wondering if you would. . . maybe give me some advice."
Albert walked over and poured himself a drink. "Would you like a drink?"
"Rum and Coke, please."
He fixed the drink and sat down beside her. "Now, what can I do for you?"
"Well, I’ve been thinking about taking some of my money and investing it. I'm not very wise in the ways of the stock market, and a regular savings account takes too long to realize a profit. Do you have any suggestions?"
Albert grinned. "Well, Cherri. I have the absolute best thing for you. I can just about promise a dollar for dollar profit within two years."
Cherri smiled and grabbed his arm. "Wow! That would be great! I have about a million dollars I can invest."
"A million?" He leaned back and looked at the ceiling. "A million would really speed things up." He looked at her and the old cave man urge reared it head between his legs. "Hey, how about dinner?"
Cherri leaned close and whispered, "I wouldn't mind . . . a bite."
Albert squirmed. "I'll tell Gina to lock up."
Dinner was short and they were soon in the trenches, so to speak. He wasn't bad looking and pretty good in the sack, so Cherri tried to enjoy it. It was near midnight when she woke up.
"Hey," she said and nudged him.
"Ump." Albert rolled over. "Hi there."
"Hi, yourself, you beast." She smiled. "Know what I'd like?"
"What?" he asked.
"I'd like to go out on the balcony in the cool night air."
"Why not?"
They walked out to the balcony and leaned over the rail. He put his arm around her and held onto whatever was handy. It wasn't long before she was bent over, and Albert was pounding her as hard as he could. He finished, and she stood up. They kissed deeply.
She asked, "Know what I'd like, now?"
"What?"
"I'd like to see if I can get you interested, again. I just can't seem to get enough of you. Sit here on the ledge and I'll see what I can do," she said and set the drink down.
Albert didn't hesitate. He hopped up onto the ledge, and she began to manipulate him. When he began to respond, she dropped to her knees and grabbed his ankles. She stood up and flipped him right over the rail. His scream faded and she went back inside.
She dressed and took the elevator down to the lobby. The place was nearly deserted. That was a good thing, she thought. It was a short taxi ride to her apartment, and the next morning, she showered and dressed. It was time to see Lauren.
