About the Book
The author describes personal experiences following the racial laws in Italy after 1938 and the tragic consequences of the German occupation of Italy after September of 1943. He also reflects on the consequences on society in general and on his life in particular during the last century due to the arrogance of individuals in position of power.
About the Author
A retired general surgeon, Dr. Krahl published many papers in scientific journals after surviving the Holocaust. After having served in the U.S. Army as Chief of Surgery for the 28th General Hospital he practiced in Superior, Wisconsin for 24 years. During his practice in Superior he was involved with many medical and health related organizations and activities. Married with two children and two grandchildren, Dr. Krahl resides with his wife, Anne, in Savannah, Georgia.
