About the Author

Robert Rhee was born during World War I in the Hague, Netherlands, his father was attached to the German Embassy in charge of buying food for Germany.

After the war, the family moved back to Dortmund, an industrial city in the province of Westphalia. He attended school until his parents sent him to the Netherlands in 1933, when Hitler came to power. He was only 16 years of age and eventually came to the U.S., where he rose from a factory job to run his own business for about 40 years, until he retired in Hawai?i.

He lived in Los Angeles and then bought a house on the beach in Malibu surrounded by celebrities, a princess, a famous baseball player and many people of the entertainment industry. While in California, he also enjoyed horseback riding and skiing in the mountains. His older son was successful in real estate and now teaches as a professor at the University of California-San Diego. His second son became a master in the game of chess at an early age and still participates in tournaments. Robert?s wife was killed by a drunk driver.

From $15 a week he was able to make good investments, traveled a lot and now enjoys life in Hawai?i.
