About the Book

He Awakens Me is a collection of weekly meditations composed by Shirley Hudson. They are in the form of soliloquies. Interacting with happenings and observations, she finds analogies that speak to the territory of Christian experience. To facilitate greater practical and devotional usage, the writer has provided not only a topical list of the subjects covered, but also an index of the related scriptural passages that figured in each soliloquy.

The soliloquies were first sent out on a weekly basis via email to an ever-increasing mailing list. Many who received them expressed appreciation and suggested that they be published in book form in order to reach a wider audience. The author prays that these personal meditations will not only reach a wider audience, but that they will help produce in every reader that quality of life that truly honors and glorifies her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

About the Author

Shirley Hudson, born in Holland, Michigan, is a retired public school teacher. She and her husband were in evangelistic ministries in Europe, and also served in pastorates throughout the USA. Shirley was involved mainly with music, children?s work, and Bible studies. They have three children, seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
