About the Book

Poetry to me is an expression of a Poets soul. As he or she writes they bud and unfold. An Urban Poets Conscious Perspective gives me the opportunity to bud and unfold my soul to humanity. These 149 poems are a direct result of different emotions I experienced while being incarcerated. In all actuality as my soul cried my pen filled with spiritual ink and to this piece of wood my pen I applied.

In this poetic script I only seek to confide and convey a piece of my soul unto you. I learned while putting this collection of poetry together that it was very enlightening for me to express my self through rhythm. I feel that I am only reliving what was once apart of my ancient African History. I seek to infiltrate your mind and fill your heart with my urban perspective. For my lyric is my spirit.

About the Author

Larry E. Williams-El currently lives in District Heights, Maryland. He is a positive force in my community being apart of the solution and not the problem. Larry prays that his books (A Jamaican Spice with a Indian Twist, My Project is Brown, Rambling Urban Inspiration, The Angelic Aura of My Vine and Fig Tree, A 90 degree angle (Poetry), The Hoodology of Michael Holmes and An urban Poets Conscious Perspective) become apart of the solution for they all are spiritual. He is a husband and father. Larry is very proud about his life changes, which have enabled him to love himself and humanity as a whole.
