About the Book
"For everything there is an appointed time, even a time for every affair under the heavens." Ecclesiastes 3:1
Seasons is a documented poetic journey of the author's healing from a difficult and largely unfulfilling period in her life. Reflecting on the struggles of Lyn's spiritual, emotional and mental growth during this time, Seasons also highlights her physical experiences pleasant, painful and otherwise.
Although deeply personal, Seasons acknowledges the universal process of healing. Thorough recovery from a traumatic event is not automatic. Rather the progressive change to wellness happens in stages. The healing process of any injury to mind, body or soul is often painful, but always necessary and beneficial.
A chronicle presented in the form of literal seasons, Seasons shows that every different weather and climate, welcome or not, has its purpose. In the natural order of things, there is always a period of regrowth that follows one of devastation.
