It is the story of a young woman who launches a career in nursing and discovers new depths of compassion and caring. It is the story of a young family who moves to Alaska and finds their faith, opening their home to foster children and to care for little ones in need. It is the story of earthly angels who help them through troubled times. Finally, it is the story of memories lost and memories found. At age 62, one year after her mother's death, Jackie starts having memories that had not been in her awareness before. Tortured by the memories, she begins therapy. She is treated for chronic Post-traumatic Stress Disorder. What follows is a journey that is steeped in courage, a journey that leads to hope. May her story also bring hope to you!

About the Author

Jackie brings to her writing a wealth of experience. Her experiences include: published author; school psychologist; hospice respite nurse; missionary; professional speaker; and parent to two biological sons and eleven foster children. She is also a survivor of childhood abuse. Jackie and her husband of 41 years live in the Colorado Rockies.
