About the Book

Rev. Manwoo A. Kim started writing poetry during his college days at Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea. Reading this volume containing Rev. Kim's poems (translated from Korean by Onyoo Elizabeth Kim, Esq.), the reader will benefit from his many years of viewing the world through poetic lenses. Rev. Kim's poems reflecting on the grace of God inspire the reader to higher things, and his poems focusing on the suffering of Jesus Christ for His people will move the readers to tears. Furthermore, his poetic reflections are a window into the particular experience of Korean evangelical Christians living in the USA. Majority of the Koreans living in the USA are evangelical Christians, so this book will help the reader to understand her Korean neighbors better.

About the Author

Rev. Manwoo A. Kim has been the senior pastor of the First Korean Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia since 1979. His whole life, Rev. Kim has worked closely with Student For Christ (SFC), an evangelical Christian student organization founded in South Korea. Locally, he works actively with African-American Christian ministers.
