About the Author

Preston L. Allen is a recipient of a State of Florida Individual Artist Fellowship in Literature. His works have been published in numerous literary journals including The Crab Orchard Review, The Seattle Review, Drum Voices 2002, and Brown Sugar: a Collection of Erotic Black Fiction. His short story collection Churchboys and Other Sinners (Carolina Wren Press 2003) is the winner of the Sonja H. Stone Prize in Fiction. His first novel Hoochie Mama (Writer?s Club Press 2001) is a finalist for the Gold Pen Award. Preston L. Allen lives and teaches in Miami, Florida.
