The Day Love Cried is about a street–wise nine–year–old boy who becomes friends with a teenager named Love. Set on the streets of Chicago in an area known as "The Valley" the story details whirlwind events that occur when Love ventures into dangerous streets with a kid only half his age.

About the Author

Gerald Burnett, or ?Hot-Rod? as he is known to many, was born in the South, but grew up in Chicago. The Day Love Cried is a veritable blend of real life and fiction. He currently resides in New York City.
