The Lemonade Gang and the Mysterious Stranger

About the Book

Four teenagers-Chelsea, Mitch, Laurie and Matt-turned a boring summer day into a business venture when they created a mobile lemonade stand and formed themselves into the Lemonade Gang. However, it was when they discovered that a mysterious stranger was spying on them that the real adventure began.

Laurie and Matt, brother and sister members of the gang, suspected that there was a personal connection between the stranger and their long-lost father.

Gang members trailed the stranger and then reluctantly allowed Matt to sneak into his apartment to try to find out why he was watching them.

When the stranger walked back into his room before Matt could escape, the teenager hid quickly in the bathroom.

Matt closed his eyes and concentrated on making no sound. When he heard the man moving toward the bathroom, he held his breath. For a moment the man stood, silent, just inside the door. Matt could smell the rank odor of tobacco.

Neither Matt nor any other member of the Lemonade Gang was prepared for what happened next. It would take more time and even greater effort to identify the mysterious stranger.

About the Author

Evynne Smith is a 2005 graduate of the University of Oregon. A familiar figure in the musical theatre community in Eugene, Evynne says her first love is singing/performing. Her father, Saylor, is a retired high school teacher. His first novel, Serpent?s Tooth, will be re-issued in the fall of 2005.
