Esta Freeland Cox is one of those faces. Her grandmother was an emigrant from Wales and her father from English ancestry. Esta Freeland Cox was born in Iowa in 1913, one of 13 children. Esta has survived the great depression years, numerous wars, and the deaths of siblings and two husbands and two sons. At 91 her writings were collected and published as a tribute to a beautiful life.
