About the Book

"Everybody is busy working their own hustle to take care of their own damn issues. Who's supposed to lookout for yours?"

Those are the words uttered by Ben's best friend, Dre, when Ben is faced with the fact, that after a six-hour search, his parents are missing. Relatives, friends, and the police have no clue of their whereabouts.

And neither do they care.

Ben is willing to do whatever it takes to get his parents, and his life to where it should be. But after Dre is caught up in a bank heist, Ben realizes that the world is more against him than he thought.

Set in the heart of the Miami streets, Willing to Live is the story of a young man forced to grow up in less than 24 hours.

About the Author

Enrico Theoc was born and raised in Miami, Florida. This young man of Haitian descent has won a number of awards for reading and writing competitions, and recently studied the craft of creative writing under Professor Preston Allen at Miami-Dade Community College. He still resides in Miami where he is currently working on a screenplay and his next novel.
