About the Book

Course of Act (ISBN-13# 9780595321582; McGuire T. Bailey, Jr.; iUniverse.com), is a contemporary novel I wrote in the style of literary prose, mimicing learnèd or scholarly acumen. I chose this writing style to have the narrative portray differentiation of Character, as the story portrays the unuttered conversation of a clandestine class of omnipotent Diety, ruminating over the mundanaeties of beings created in its image. I begin the screenplay with vague highlights of a crucial events vividly described in the pages of the novel which gradually become clearer as clues about violent attacks on young male students reveal. Nana is an all-American gal with Native American roots and acute sensitivities to superstitions in her Ancestral culture. She relishes close friendships; characteristic of her afinity to Love as she has come to understand it. Inevitably she finds herself deeply disturbed by her, then, boyfriend's indiscretions and decides to embark on a soul searching journey of her own accord. Ineki Louai, a gorgeous Asia-Pacific islander, was once a voracious and avaricious news hound who one day took her craft to the brink of Hell. She forced her way into a secured building to capture stills for a cover article in her magazine, only to overhear a shocking threat of impending violence in a very private conversation. She becomes haplessly thrust into the arms and charms of her Therapist, a Dr. Zhe, of whom she later marries and loves in a fanciful non-conventional 'Lifestyle'. Detective Punji is an indigenous sleuth who wields his influence, to and beyond the extent of his own powers to unravel disturbing developments plagueing his prim and quiescent village. He soon learns of the limitations in his biased Weltanshauung leanings, as he is compelled to go against a cultural hedgemony; a figurative vitrolic serpent with fangs lodged deep within his jingoistic soul. Adventures challenge the main characters in Course of Act as they live the stories of their lives, but the most prominent tale is that of the Urban Legend - Lexi - an ancient Shoki deviless, a virulent Xanthippe, the resurrected Navajo 'Trickster' who dwells amidst the dust of the Earth; transferring from being to being in a lascivious game of possession; controlled and contained only by 'the power beyond what is normal', long ago granted as a gift to the most blessèd of men. As an Artist, my eye sees life in a unique perspective, derived from esoteric sentiments that subconsciously exist in everyone, though difficult to fathom (or even express) for just anyone. I sincerely hope you enjoy this literary work which I have designs on using in a clearinghouse of my proprietary inventives through the Course of Act Movie Project.

About the Author

Dreams exist as creation in our minds. Some dreams are born on the backs of purchase receipts as we consciously jot them down to remember.

Dreams themselves create?worlds of life, light, sounds, feelings; making non-existent reality in perspective.

Dreams also teach, by helping to predict ideal outcome of circumstance. Dreams motivate, by designing goals to reach out to.

So if it is said that ?life is but a dream?, how do you exist? What do you create? What things do you teach? What motivates you?

If you think about it, you are nothing but a thought. Make it interesting, so that your Creator will remember you with fondness as He comes to complete his grand design.
