About the Book
Beneath the Trees is a compilation of expository essays that were written for an advanced creative writing class at Florida Atlantic University. The themes in each essay address humorous anecdotes of the author's life and experiences that have a lighthearted story behind them. The topics are universal and relate to all ages. The journey begins with events from childhood to motherhood and everything in between. The title for the book is taken from a familiar children's song-Teddy Bear's Picnic-but symbolizes the author's passion for sitting under a tree with a yellow pad and writing stories.
