Both Ernest and Brian Gabrielson, a grandfather-grandson team were inspired to write Home in Ithaca after speculating about how Odysseus'son grew up during his father's absence. Ernest was an educator in Cottonwood, Arizona. Brian is a student in the Tucson Public Schools.
