About the Author

Born in the early years of the twentieth century, James Crawley held various jobs that included labourer, soldier, shopkeeper and postmaster. He was a keen amateur stage actor, pianist and artist, and enjoyed discussions on religion. Indeed, he went through the Bible with a fine-toothed comb and many other subjects into the ?wee small hours? fortified with a few glasses of Bristol Cream Sherry!
