About the Book

Prayer, a passion for life, and the wisdom of her grandmother guide Carla Louise Jones. She gets a lesson in navigating life and relationships with two very different men from her family and some well-intended friends.

She lets her guard down and finds herself in a relationship with the rugged and charismatic Jerome Banks who treats her like a queen. He's likeable, intriguing, and willing to do whatever it takes to keep Carla interested in him. Over time, Carla realizes that life with Jerome is different from anything she could imagine.

Carla and Jerome settle into a comfortable routine when an irresistibly savvy Robert Walker enters the picture and turns Carla's life upside down by promising to make her fantasies realities.

As time passes Carla outgrows Jerome, who has a hypnagogic hold on her that she can't seem to break. Yet Robert is simply too good to be true. She convinces herself that he is out of her league and turns her back on the man that could be her soul mate. Carla struggles to put the pieces of her life back together in order to regain control.

About the Author

Linda Pressley was born in Philadelphia, PA. She traveled to South Carolina with her mother and siblings before moving to New Jersey. She and her husband reside in Princeton, NJ. She holds three degrees; one in Management and Marketing, one in Communications and another in Organizational Management.
