About the Author
Patricia Brown Coughlan is an Alzheimer's family member with a B.A. in sociology from the University of California at Santa Cruz, and an M.A. in interdisciplinary studies/gerontology from Sonoma State University. She has served as chairman of the Sonoma County Alzheimer's Task Force, and chairman of the Public Policy Committee of the Alzheimer's Association's North Bay Chapter.
