About the Author

Chris Adams is a retired U.S. Air Force Major General and former Chief of Staff, Strategic Air Command (SAC); a former Assoc. Dir, Los Alamos Nat'l Laboratory and industry executive. He made 23 extended visits to Russia and the former Soviet states; has an extraordinary knowledge of SAC air operations, nuclear weapons and the culture of the former Soviet Union. He is a distinguished alumnus of both Texas A&M University~Commerce and Tarleton State University, and is listed in Whos Who in America.
