About the Book
Troy Madigan is a former cowboy who worked for a cattle outfit in Dodge City, Kansas. Later, he became a lawman in Wichita, Kansas. His physical appearance and principles made him a legendary figure. In 1898, he makes a call that will take him into the Spanish-American War. There, he encounters thrilling adventure and romance. The story is filled with dramatic incidents and descriptive historical details. From the beginning to the end, it covers a spectrum of emotions that deal with tragedy, near tragedy, love, and courage.
About the Author
The author was born in Los Angeles, California. After serving in the military during World War Two, he attended college to major in speech arts and drama. His academic life was followed by an extensive career in radio and television. These professions took him to audience markets in Texas, Kansas, and California. Upon retiring, he performed occasionally on the theater stage. This culminated in playing the role of Virgil in the New York City off Broadway production of ?Bus Stop?. Now, he is the author of two other novels. This one, Madigan?s Call, is a sequel to the previous novel entitled Notch (ISBN 0-595-38638-5). He writes under the pen name Ray Renek and resides in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
