About the Book

After November 3, Cal Porsch's life would never be the same again. A city girl for 13 years, Cal finds herself completely clueless when she moves to her aunt's ranch in Nemar, Texas. She soon finds herself falling in love with a beautiful black horse, an unexpected gift from her mother. Cal comes to love ranch life, and she can't hope for anything more than what she has. Then the worst happens. It looks as though she'll lose everything she's come to love most. Can Cal and her horse win against the odds?

About the Author

Kim started writing this book 2 years ago when she was 12. She used her barrel racing experience of 6 years to create the realistic relationship between a girl and her horse. She loves to barrel race and write and plans to do more of each in the future.
