About the Book
The Moon and More summarizes the involvements of David in the NASA space program, in sports, and in music, and it also includes some of David's key beliefs and opinions concerning religion, philosophy, and politics. Also included is information about his family and his friends, especially as such information relates to David.
He was a star four-sport athlete in high school and attended Baylor University on a football and track scholarship, where he was also an honor student. During his 32-year NASA career as an aerospace engineer and manager, he was vitally involved in putting men on the Moon and designing the Space Shuttle and the Space Station. He is a Gospel quartet baritone and composer and is also a poet.
The Moon and More includes the lyrics for most of his original songs and also poems written, mostly about family and friends, by David. It also includes a few poems and other writings written about David by other people.
David was inducted into the Baylor Letterwinners' Wall of Honor in 2005 because of "extraordinary recognition and honor brought to Baylor by his NASA career and other lifetime accomplishments."
About the Author
David helped put men on the Moon and helped design and manage several other NASA projects. He was an outstanding athlete in high school and college and is an amateur Gospel singer and composer and a poet. He has been blessed with a wonderful family and many great friends.
