The book Sexual Beginnings: A Blueprint for Life, not only follows the course of gender development in the womb and early years; it also deals with the relationship of the brain in sexual development and the early imprinting of attitudes toward intimacy and how these attitudes affect adult sexuality.

Cultural values, parental relationships, personal health, preparation for childbirth all provide the environment in which this miraculous growth takes place. The book discusses both positive and negative consequences of these factors on gender/sexual development.

Practical solutions for creating a favorable growth environment for mature gender identity with education on a national scale are outlined in the final chapter.

About the Author

A grandmother to twenty-four and mother or stepmother to eleven provides M. Lindsey with unique qualifications for a book on children?s development. In addition she has a B.A. in Psychology and a M.A. in rehabilitation counseling. Her experiences as a psychiatric rehab counselor and director of a college counseling center led her to believe there is a need to change the way America cares for and educates their children. Besides writing, Ms Lindsey enjoys reading, music, political analysis and discussion, and walking the great outdoors.
