About the Book

I found this book to be riveting and very informative. It brings out the essence of solid theological connotation. The book deals with Biblical substance and truth, and it leaves fictional metaphors out of the equation. It is a product of diligent research and a higher level of scriptural perception. It is a composition composed of validity and merit and I highly recommend it to everyone with a genuine interest in learning sound Biblical ideology.

About the Author

Jerry and Drucilla Johnson Jackson are the co-authors of Destination: Eternity. The idea for the book came about one day after they listened to a preacher explain the Bible chapter by chapter and verse by verse. At that very moment, a decision was made to try and put down on paper who we are, where we came from and where we?re going after our death. With over twelve years of study and research devoted to the writing of this book, some of what they learned was written down and is contained here in the pages of: Destination Eternity.

Jerry and Dru have been married for over forty-one years and raised two sons as they traveled the country while assigned to the military. They are also the proud grandparents of three grandsons and one granddaughter. For now, they reside in Dunn, NC, but are making plans to relocate back to his hometown of Elizabethtown, NC.

While Dru was busy raising their two children, studying, working at times and getting involved with many crafts, Jerry was busy with his military duties which brought him to the same room with such notables as Col. Harlan Sanders, founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken, Adm. Hyman Rickover, father of the Nuclear Submarine, and others whose names have been lost to father time. In the early 1970?s, he was also assigned to the Presidential Security Detail located at the US Coast Guard Base in Miami Beach, FL., whose primary purpose was to protect the waters surrounding President Nixon?s Key Biscayne getaway.

As he continued his travels with the military, Mr. Jackson attended George Washington University and a number of other colleges and universities including Webster University located in St. Louis, MO. A Vietnam veteran with over twenty-three years of active service, Jerry and Dru finally retired from the US Coast Guard in September of 1987 with the rank of Lieutenant.
