The author has studied McIlroy genealogy for over forty years and through a large amount of research, correspondence, and travel presents a thorough account of the family's history. The book includes unique features: family portraits, a copy of James McLroy's will, an attempt to prove the parents of John McElroy, and information from over eight thousand letters that Mr. McIlroy received from relatives.

About the Author

James Roland McIlroy was born in Hill County, Texas in 1924. B.S. Texas A&M, 1947; M.E. Texas A&M, 1949. He was a teacher, a purebred livestock dealer, an automobile dealer for forty-five years, and an amateur genealogist. He has resided in Celina, Texas for over fifty years.
